Left Differential Oil Seal - Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the front motor lower mudguard assembly. See Front Motor Lower Mudguard Assembly - Removal and Installation
  2. Discharge the differential mechanism gear oil. See Replacement of Differential Gear Oil
  3. Remove the left front drive half shaft assembly. See Left Front Drive Half Shaft Assembly - Removal and Installation
  4. Carefully remove the left differential oil seal.

Caution When removing the oil seal, special care should be taken not to scratch the reducer housing. The differential oil seal is not reusable and needs to be installed with a new differential oil seal.

Installation

  1. Install the differential oil seal with the special tool (Tool Name: half shaft oil seal installation tool; Material No. 13461863-00). See the Manual of Special Tools

Caution Before installing the differential oil seal, clean the differential oil seal base and the new differential oil seal. Apply a thin layer of differential lubricating oil to the outer wall of the differential oil seal before installation. When installing the differential oil seal, be careful to prevent installing it at an angle. After the differential oil seal is installed, it is necessary to check and ensure that it is installed in place.

Right Differential Oil Seal - Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the front motor lower mudguard assembly. See Front Motor Lower Mudguard Assembly - Removal and Installation
  2. Discharge the differential mechanism gear oil. See Replacement of Differential Gear Oil
  3. Remove the right front drive half shaft assembly. See Right Front Drive Half Shaft Assembly - Removal and Installation
  4. Carefully remove the right differential oil seal.

Install
