Smart Remote Diagnostics, Key Programming & ECU Coding

Stuck on a Smart in your bay? Engineers in our network read fault codes, run live actuation tests, program keys, and code ECUs on Smart vehicles remotely — with the same factory diagnostic tools they use at China's EV OEMs.

No local Smart dealer network needed: you plug the car into a Windows PC, the engineer connects through a secure gateway and walks your technician through the fix live.

What we can do on a Smart remotely

Diagnostics

Read Smart fault codes, run actuation tests, calibrate ADAS sensors, and clear DTCs with factory-level access.

Key Programming

Add a new smart key, replace lost keys, or pair a replacement immobilizer module on your Smart — fully remote.

ECU Coding

Code replacement ECUs after a parts swap, retrofit modules, and update software so the Smart accepts the new hardware.

Accident Unlock

Recover collision-locked battery and BCM states, reset crash sensors, and return the Smart to a driveable state.

Smart session pricing

Indicative fees in USD. The engineer confirms the exact fee at booking before any credit is debited — decline at no cost.

How a session works

  1. 01

    Connect

Plug the car into your Windows PC — via the Smartlink for most brands, or a direct ENET cable for the rest.

  2. 02

    Bridge

A secure gateway connects you to the OEM diagnostic systems the engineer signs into at work.

  3. 03

    Diagnose

An OEM engineer reads codes, runs live tests, and codes ECUs with the factory tools they use day-to-day.

  4. 04

    Repair

The engineer pinpoints the fault and walks you through parts and procedure live during the session.

Smart remote diagnostics — FAQ

Can you diagnose a Smart remotely?

Yes. You connect the Smart to a Windows PC via our Smartlink device (or a direct cable, depending on the model), and an engineer from our network signs in through a secure gateway with OEM diagnostic software — the same tools a Smart factory engineer uses. They read fault codes, run live tests, and guide your technician through the repair.

How much does a Smart remote diagnostic session cost?

Sessions start at $200, depending on the model and the service (diagnostics, key programming, ECU coding, or accident unlock). The engineer confirms the exact fee before any credit is debited, and you can decline at no cost.

Which Smart models do you support?

Published pricing covers #1 / #3 / #5. Other Smart models are usually supported too — contact us with the VIN and we'll confirm before you book.

Can you program keys for a Smart?

Yes — adding new smart keys, replacing lost keys, and pairing replacement immobilizer modules on Smart vehicles are all done remotely in a live session with an OEM engineer.

What do I need on my side for a Smart session?

A Windows PC with internet, our Smartlink diagnostic device (or the model-specific cable), and access to the car's OBD-II port. We provide setup instructions; a technician on-site handles the physical work while the engineer drives the diagnostics.

Need Smart spare parts too?

We source OEM and premium-aftermarket parts for Chinese EVs directly in China, matched by OE code, and ship worldwide.
